Burnout can happen slowly in the background - indicated by persistent feelings of overwhelm, frustration, resistance, self doubt or tiredness. It can be the underbelly of feeling like you are in a career, environment, or role that just doesn't quite fit, and isn't quite you. 

If you're tired of pretending, force fitting, trying to make the most of a career or business that looks good on paper but just feels itchy or crunchy in your body, it could be time to talk to a burnout coach.

As an experienced burnout coach, I hold space and guide you to self awareness and self trust. We'll re-explore your sense of identity and success, and deeply connect you to back to who you are and what you need to feel aligned, energised and satisfied.

WHAT IS BURNOUT COACHING?

My approach to burnout coaching is to partner with you and hold space for you to work through + manage the ups and downs of knowing and leading yourself through burnout. I do this with non-negotiably high levels of compassion, paired with a good dollop of practicality, so that you can nurture your energy, life force and capacity, and move through this in a way that is right for YOU.

 

It is a collaborative process, where the burnout coach facilitates you to explore your relationship with yourself and your sense of self, success, identity, expectations, usefulness, energy, satisfaction and meaning in life and work.

 

It is worth clarifying what makes my burnout coaching different, is that it is personal and has a therapeutic touch. It is not surface level tips to get you back to peak performance ASAP - it is more about re-exploring your sense of self and identity, your self trust, your self belief, your courage and embodiment so that you can find a new and more sustainable, satisfying way forwards with your work. I hold the space and offer you the tools to create the conditions for yourself to turn inwards and reconnect with what was always yours but maybe got lost or suppressed along the way. We move at your pace, and consistently check in with what you need from yourself, the coaching process and from me.

WHAT DOES A BURNOUT COACH DO?

A burnout coach works as a thinking partner to help you more deeply explore how you want your career, business or life to work, how you show up, and how you relate and exist to the world around you.

They help you connect your professional and personal goals so that you and your work can evolve + work in better alignment with yourself.

 

A burnout coach is there to hold space for you and support you. They will, most importantly, listen to you, then offer questions, exercises, and various methods to help you identify what is in your way, explore any beliefs, patterns or protective parts, and help you start to unstick yourself and move towards the space you want and deserve to be.

As your burnout coach, I am there to keep you connected to why you're doing what you're doing, increase your awareness of how the way you work influences and is influenced by your energy and sense of self, and support you to create a way of working that is true and supportive to your *own* sustainable version of success.

I care about getting you back in to work that works for you, but I am definitely not here to tell you what you should do, what I would do, or what the outcome should look like for you. This is deeper, more meaningful coaching, and not a performance tick box.

I am here to hold dedicated time and space for you to think about one of the most important things in your life - your relationship with yourself and how you choose to approach your work.

My career, business and life experience, as well as professional training, has put me in a natural position to be a burnout coach.

 

After a decade-plus long career as a strategist in creative agencies (which I went in to immediately after graduating because I felt the pressure to take a good job and be able to look after myself and get on the career ladder as early as possible), I got to the point where I couldn't keep ignoring the niggle that there was something different out there for me.

I burnt out in the sense that I ignored that niggle for a long time, and got too familiar with masking and performing a version of me that was fun at many times, and good on paper, but not quite meant for me.​

Feeling overwhelmed, doubting myself, fidgety, stressed and restless became normal for me, until I tried out some other trainings 'for fun' and quickly realised that my body just said 'no' to continuing in the work I was doing.

For me, that has meant retraining and building my own business. Structuring my business and working week in a way that matches my energy, personality, needs and life demands.

Doing a lot of inner work to unravel the corporate conditioning of what success, productivity and ambition 'should' look like, and building the self belief and self trust to create my own version of it.

However, I strongly believe that success looks different to everyone, so I am a good fit for you if you want to work with someone who will hold space for you without jumping to conclusions or putting my own story on to you, without judging, and without expectation.

Deep-dive kick-off session (2-hr)

A 2-hr session to explore everything that's going on for you and your goals.

You'll complete a reflective worksheet beforehand.

This session creates the groundwork for our work together.

Holding session / Another block /

One off sessions

Once you finish your block, you may feel happy with where we get to and choose to wrap it up.

There is also the option for:

a) Holding Session-

We review + note down the insights, tools + other things that will keep you on track

b) Another Block-

Coaching can be like a ball of string. You may want to keep unravelling something and keep up the work

c) One Off Sessions-

If you'd like to dip back in every now and then, I offer one off sessions to work or move through anything on your mind
